Physician's Guide to Home Health

The Physician's Guide to Home Health includes easy-to-understand language geared towards physicians regarding the certification requirements for home health, including the face-to-face documentation requirement. It also includes what physicians need to know about PDGM, especially the increased need for documentation to support the clinical grouper with a brief summary of unacceptable codes. Provide the booklet to your referral sources or use them to provide your own education to physicians and staff. Includes an easy summary of the most important points.

    Physicians Guide to PDGM

This is a great guide for MD’s. I would have added some examples of coding rules/conventions. MD’s are often confused when HTN And HF come back as Hypertensive Heart Disease. This would be a great forum to explain it. Especially since stellar coding will lead to reimbursement. I love this and we need one for Hospice too! Thank you Lisa for being a great resource!

The info is good but I was hoping it would have a few more specific examples of unacceptable diagnoses and maybe diagnoses that are similar that are acceptable such as Muscle weakness or generalized weakness is not an acceptable diagnosis but muscle atrophy with the specific location is.
